Hello,

I am planning to purchase 4TB+ storage device to be used alongside my laptop. Primary usecase is Media storage (Photos+Movies). Won't be going for a NAS solution as of now.

Possibilities:

  1. External HDD 2.5" - Seagate OneTouch was on my mind, but regarding SMR issues I am on the edge.
  2. External HDD 3.5" or Internal with enclosure - Just wanted to know from a laptop user, how much it hampers the portability? This is my only concern.
  3. Internal SSD - Have an extra slot, PCIe3. But a 4TB drive in my country costs 1.5x the price of 8TB 3.5 HDD.

Help me guys!!
