I just bought and old riverbed steelhead 5050L, it opteron cpu not sure which but it has 16 hotswappble 3.5 inch bays now the backplane has this weird air max connector definitely not sas havent really found an alternative now there are three options i can do ( currently using unraid)

Option 1: use it for just a network share and use all my services on my other server

Option 2: remove the backplane, psu and add a sas expander for and use it as a jbod

Option 3: or is there a compatible way to get a backplane on it so that its still hot swappable

Note: got it for 60 bucks worth it for the case alone
