Anyone know if im using a data set that is raid5 das enclosure on usb.. and i add a 1tb nvme drive on the main machine, if im to create a storage spaces tiered setup, where it utilizes the existing data + nvme for speed on new writes, if that means the existing raid5 data must be wiped before creating?

Also, would this tiered + storage config be accessible by one single drive letter after being configured (seemless)?

havent used storage spaces yet, so a little bit of a newb on this one

EDIT: so it sounds like storage spaces might be too unreliable, however, i've yet to find a solution that can tier an NVME with another set of 7200 rpm drives and protect the data and gain native nvme speed for fresh writes.
