When he brought up the issue with his grandmother — known to Vance as "Mamaw" — she replied bluntly: "Don't be a fucking idiot, how would you know that you're gay?"
When Vance explained his reasoning, she laughed.
"JD, do you want to suck dicks?" she said, according to the book.
The young Vance, apparently "flabbergasted," said: "Of course not!"
"Then you're not gay. And even if you did want to suck dicks, that would be okay," she replied. "God would still love you."
That little anecdote just shows how based Mamaw is, and just how fucking stupid JD Vance is. Not sure why he would fabricate something like that.
Possibly because he's closeted and lying to himself badly.

Sorry, I thought you were making a claim that some do that 'dick sucking' jokes are inherently homophobic.
This may come as a shock to some, but gay men aren't the only ones who smoke pole.
It's more just generically anti-sex than specifically homophobic. Although I've seen more than a few people get particularly weird with the metaphor when men are involved.
Right, that's why I misunderstood. People decide any 'cocksucker' joke involving men is inherently homophobic, even if they're on the receiving end.
I wish I had the kind of fuck you money to make a bunch of these to give away at a Trump rally, to see if they'd actually wear them.
