That design may not be the best but those cable heads are worse. There are better designed ones that release easier and wouldn't even hit that button when inserted.
Having to pull all the cables (of the style pictured above) out of a server room for a decom before, those cable heads suck.
Yes FUCK these cable heads. I'd rather have none at all and deal with it sometimes coming off than ever have to pull one of these out of the port.
