Tbh I wouldn't want to die for my country either

That's probably because the phrase "dying for your country" means "dying overseas" to you. I would hope you'd think differently with an invader at your doorstep

I don’t really feel my country has done too much to help me have a good life. So, I’d be more than happy to take my tax dollars and higher education elsewhere if it came down to dying or not dying.

Turns out people don't want to fight strangers. Seems pretty reasonable when a genocidal dictator is the one pulling the strings. (Talking about Putin if that wasn't clear)

How does putin being a dictator contribute to the Ukrainians fleeing from draft? Unclear from your comment

Putin is the one driving the invasion, and refuses to withdraw troops from the country.

Women aren’t strong enough to hold hand guns. /s

Women can perform support, strategic, logistics, and some frontline roles just as well as men.

Or maybe start designing small arms and body armor for women, artillery and other hardware for woman-sized operators, etc.

Not sure why comments are so polarized.

This is what happens with a population well aware that they are being sent to the meat grinder a la Im Westen nichts Neues.

I guess everyone can agree they don't want to die pointlessly.

War exhaustion is high, and now it's a war of attrition.
