Like how is this setup even legal? Like most returns it seems like the only real handling they get is put them right back into a box and see if the next customer complains the same.... The "recertified" sticker is a total joke. You can probably guess I had a bad experience with a drive recently, luckily I was already cautious and didn't put anything on it that I didn't have stored elsewhere... But it was always a little strange noise-wise but after a week I checked the data and found many files showing 0kb. I would be partly tempted to blame MacOS since I move this drive between Windows and Mac, and sometimes Mac refuses to read it at which point Windows will report "the drive has errors, click here to fix them", which I'm also not sure is not contributing to the data loss also. This drive cost around 75% of the 'new' cost and the only other time I've bought a refurbished drive I paid literally only 40% the new cost and wasn't surprised when that one died after a month. For certain I will never buy a refurbished drive again unless they're both super cheap (>50% off) and I can test them thoroughly beforehand. ๐Ÿ™„
