Wow, I really struggled today.

I was at first thinking of "test", "try", "spin", and "sample" as being things you might do before buying a product. "Take it for a spin", so to speak.

I'm pretty sure we've seen that purple connection before, with different words. Green with envy, green as in new, etc.
