Some fairly new Western Digital HDDs won’t mount. Tried two different dual-bays but the drives just make a beep sound after trying to spin or start up. (zerobytes.monster)

What are the odds that two two-month old Western Digital drives die at the same time? Is there a reason this might happen? Tried two different external dual-bay drive bays and neither want to mount. Occasionally, I can get one to mount, but rarely.

What might have caused this? Power outage burn them out? Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated.
