Honestly wondering what trick the MCU is going to pull to make RDJ being both Dr. Doom and Iron Man make sense. Maybe he’ll just never have his mask off when RDJ is the actor, or maybe it will be multiverse shenanigans. I hope it won’t be like Coulson/Sarge in Agents of SHIELD wherein one is essentially a cosmic clone of the other.

Obviously gonna be some multiverse bs. They try to bring tony back by getting another multiverse version of him, but that's one is/turns evil or something

The trick for recasting Rhodey was just to have the actor look at the camera and say "I'm here. It's me. Get used to it."

If they make a great movie, then I figure they can cast whoever they like.

Doctor Who recasts all the time, so I'm used to it.

But as others have mentioned, there's really no reason Doom should ever have his mask off, anyway, except under some extreme makeup.
