Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Ah, I didn’t expect Vance to be the bottom in those relationships.

[–] Passerby6497@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Really? In what world does Vance give off the vibe that he's a top? Looking at that face, he probably wanted to bottom for the couch but had to take the top role because the couch just laid there.

[–] almar_quigley@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I was mostly thinking of the sheer physics of being the bottom to a couch.

[–] GladiusB@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Well now I need to go into incognito mode...

[–] HappycamperNZ@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

But was kinda hoping...

[–] TexasDrunk@lemmy.world 19 points 1 year ago (1 children)

They've got to hang someone for it (hopefully figuratively, I don't really agree with anyone being put to death) and he's a good sacrificial goat.

[–] dohpaz42@lemmy.world 19 points 1 year ago

Don’t tell me he fucks goats too? Poor goats. They need to be checked for STDs now.

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 10 points 1 year ago

Meh fine with me. Fuck that dude, he's a goddamn psychopath.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

They could avoid all this if dementia donnie were to stop telling shark battery stories and exit the race because he's so old and so very weird.

[–] Buffalox@lemmy.world 60 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Impossible, that would require they had a first thought.

[–] OhStopYellingAtMe@lemmy.world 9 points 1 year ago

I came to say something similar but you said it better. Love it.

[–] misterundercoat@lemmy.world 50 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Sorry GOP, no abortions, even in cases of rape or couchsex. You're carrying this baby to term.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

Is that where ottomans come from?

[–] zcd@lemmy.ca 49 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Just because of the couch sex?

[–] crawancon@lemm.ee 19 points 1 year ago (1 children)

...or... the dolphin fetish porn...

[–] BlueEther@no.lastname.nz 13 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Grab ‘em by the cushions.

[–] Tylerdurdon@lemmy.world 35 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Man, no one should light a match within the GOP universe because the entire thing is just one big gaslight. The last paragraph is just comical.

[–] jeffw@lemmy.world 14 points 1 year ago

“wHaT aBoUt BiDeN?!?!111”

Expect to hear that a lot this election cycle

[–] peopleproblems@lemmy.world 16 points 1 year ago

Doooooo eeeeeeet.

It will make the couch fucking meme 300x better too!

[–] WarlordSdocy@lemmy.world 15 points 1 year ago (2 children)

What are the odds they try to swap him out for a different candidate and use Biden switching out as justification? I know it's not the same thing as their convention has already happened but like what are the odds they try anyways and get the supreme court to allow it?

[–] chillhelm@lemmy.world 14 points 1 year ago (1 children)
  1. I don't see how the supreme Court has jurisdiction over the candidate selection process for either party.
  2. The VP candidate is picked by the presidential nominee in both parties, so I don't see why Trump changing his pick should be an issue (other than to confirm 100% that he has 0 loyalty and waffles on even the most trivial issues).
  3. They are not gonna swap him out.
[–] barsquid@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

That's already confirmed 100%. The bus has bounced so quickly over so many former allies that it placed first in a lowrider hydraulics competition.

[–] jeffw@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago

One was voted on, one was not.

Print photos of different couches and mail them to any or all of these locations:

Don’t forget to add little love notes. e.g., “Thinking of you 💋”
