In the video they say it can go into shops and the such, rather than just the gate. Since people with mobility challenges would be using this, I imagine they'd prefer the self driving option over having to navigate by themselves.

I'm thinking grandparents for example

When my grandfather had a mobility scootie was an absolute nightmare with it. He was absolutely not someone who should have been in control of the vehicle, I fully support it driving itself.

He used to drive everywhere at top speed. Dangerous lunatic.
