Honestly I feel like yeet is at least partially Millenial slang. It started in 2014 and the Zoomers are born 1997-2012. It's just such a good word that it kinda stuck around.

Following the popularization of the term relating to (Pete) Davidson another Twitter user took credit for coining the phrase pointing to a comment they had made two weeks beforehand mourning the death of Anthony Bourdain.

Has BDE only existed since 2018?

I feel like other similar expressions have been around for a long time. But maybe was only popularized in that formulation in 2018
