I've used a Synology NAS for a few years now. But I am finding that I don't use the network abilities of it very much and am getting tired of the high annual costs of a cloud backup. I'm considering if there is a way to convert it from being a standalone NAS to being a computer connected hard drive. I could then use something like Backblaze for much cheaper backups. Is this even possible? Could I do it without wiping the drives? I've tried to research it, but am struggling to wrap my head around it. Thanks.

Oh, and I have a DS1821+
