Last panel is weird because at first glance I could swear he called somebody on his phone, but I guess he is just yelling down the street?

I believe he is holding his head to stabilise from the pain of True's fury.

He's cupping his hand next to his mouth so his voice will project better. It's funny that to a modern viewer it looks like he's using a cell phone!

Does Everett have any bad opinions?

There are several comics that haven’t aged well but those aren’t posted very often. The vast majority of them seem to be pretty great though.

Yeah it seems like there'd need to be at least a few bad takes.

Not thus far...

Yes. One time he beats up a gardener for using public transit.

Yikes. Because he's dirty, I guess?

I think he's mad at the gardener for bringing his hoe and shovel with him, but how else is a guy supposed to get to work?

Turns out that Mr. True is a dirty commie, that's who he is!

To Whom It May Concern, the syndication for this strip varied, this particular comic was printed in The Daily Graphic (Pine Bluff, AK) a couple days later on July 18 1919: https://tile.loc.gov/storage-services/service/ndnp/arhi/batch_arhi_littlefeat_ver01/data/sn89051168/00393343527/1919071801/0769.pdf
