I have a few movies that are like 2-4 gb on my computer. I want to add then to a flash drive and store them there but there isnt enough space. What is the best way to compress movie files (.mp4 and .mkv) to save the max space and retain quality.

Also is the so called quality loss when compressing really noticable after decompression?
