Most roundabouts around here have stop signs at the entry points. They do nothing to alleviate the traffic flow.

In Germany, there usually are give way signs at the entry points indicating that the vehicles driving in the roundabout have priority. A stop sign is a bit too much, as it's not an especially confusing situation.

Every roundabout is a straightabout if you go fast enough.
