I'm having a crappy time getting the dust particles off my scanner glass. I've searched a lot of different word combinations online and can only really seem to find pages that reference wiping it down with a microfiber cloth, sometimes dry, sometimes damp. I've tried this and the only thing that seems to happen is it moves the dust around and drops lint. I'm using brand new microfiber cloths.

There has to be a better solution, any ideas? I'm considering painters tape to pull it off and then wiping off any residue that might get left behind.
