Note not just the settlement breaks international law. The occupation itself since 1967 is illegal and has to end asap. Even before the Israeli invasion, Gaza was already occupied continueing after 2005 as Israel controlled all borders, movement, money and civil registries. The Palestinians have the right to resist the occupation. A right that is continously denied by allegedly rules based countries like the US, UK and Germany.

Trump will recognise the annexation of the West Bank. I guarantee this.

The US is a bipartisan supporter of Israel, its illegal annexations and its genocide. Biden embraced again, that he is a Zionist and will continue full support for Israel. AIPAC and other Israeli Lobby/Foreign influence groups bankroll both parts of the aisle.

The reason why the Republicans are doubling down so much for now is because it helps them stir up racism and help disenfranchise the progressive left from the Democrats, because they get Biden to publicly double down on his Zionism.

That's true but Trump will violate the few remaining Shibboleths just as did when he recognised Jerusalem as the capital as well as the annexation of the Golan Heights. I'm fairly certain he will sanction the ethnic cleansing of Gaza.

This is the best summary I could come up with:

The top United Nations court has ruled that Israel’s settlement policies and use of natural resources in the occupied Palestinian territories violate international law.

The ICJ president, Nawaf Salam, was reading out the court’s full opinion in a Friday session expected to take about an hour.

It has annexed East Jerusalem in a move that is not recognised internationally, while it withdrew from Gaza in 2005 but maintained a blockade of the territory after Hamas took power in 2007.

It submitted written comments, saying that the questions put to the court were prejudiced and “fail to recognise Israel’s right and duty to protect its citizens”, address Israeli security concerns or acknowledge Israel-Palestinian agreements to negotiate issues, including “the permanent status of the territory, security arrangements, settlements, and borders”.

Palestinian residents of the city face systematic discrimination, making it difficult for them to build new homes or expand existing ones.

The international community considers all settlements to be illegal or obstacles to peace since they are built on lands sought by the Palestinians for their state.

The original article contains 613 words, the summary contains 175 words. Saved 71%. I'm a bot and I'm open source!

It (Israel) submitted written comments, saying that the questions put to the court were prejudiced and “fail to... acknowledge Israel-Palestinian agreements to negotiate issues, including “the permanent status of the territory, security arrangements, settlements, and borders”.

Imagine how brazenly dishonest one would have to be to actually, unironically try to condemn an international body for supposedly "fail(ing) to acknowledge Israel-Palestinian agreements to negotiate issues" when the specific matter at hand is ones ongoing policy of coming onto land that's clearly desgnated as Palestinian territory, throwing the residents off (and killing them if they dare to resist), then building an Israeli-only settlement on the Palestinan land you've just forcibly occupied.
