Hey guys, I recently lost about half a year worth of photo editing projects when my nvme drive suddenly died. I've backed up my RAWs/source so it's not the end of the world. Now I've got a new replacement nvme drive, but I'm considering adding a simple RAID1 with 2xHDD on the side since HDD are more reliable in terms of longevity. So 4TB nvme + 2x2TB HDD.

Would it make sense to mix SSD and HDD for a RAID1? If I setup a RAID1 with 2 nvme drives they could die without any warning at any time so I wasn't sure if there was a point. At least with HDD there would be signs before it died. I'm just gonna be using the Disk Management in Win11.
