The shadow prefix usually means the person that would be in said position had the second largest party won, but it doesn't seem to be logical in this case.
I mean, I get that a lot of things are wrong with this, but could someone tell me, in particular, what kind of authority to be met somewhere JKR is? So like, if I'm somewhat famous and take a stance in some topic, no matter how irrelevant at large or stupid said stance or topic is, I get to make deals or something with politicians? I mean, as far as I know she isn't even some Big Kahuna in feminist circles or something like that, so what makes her so important that the government has to arrange a meeting with her?
I would say that she has a fairly large platform and a lot of people listen to her, unfortunately. Maybe they are trying to get her to shut up in order to stop propogating harmful rhetoric
