Data is already plural, so the form datas does not exist. It even has the rarely used singular datum as it is just Latin for "given", but using data instead is generally also regarded correct.

Datas is more fun to read.

I agree, although some very unsympathetic part of me internally screams every time I read that.

OP is obviously Dr. Noonien Soong

[–] pbjamm@beehaw.org 3 points 2 years ago

Technically correct, which is the best kind.

[–] Umbrias@beehaw.org -3 points 2 years ago

Datas is correct if you are referring to multiple distinct populations of data. Which in this case works.

If pirating a product that is for sale is "theft"

Is pirating a product that is for rental (like adobe).... Squatting?

(Joke obvs)

[–] Baku@aussie.zone 7 points 2 years ago

I wonder if that means we can claim adverse possession

[–] HappyFrog@lemmy.blahaj.zone 13 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Even when you pirate their stuff you are giving them things; market share, data, seo pumps, bug reports, data.

[–] alphacyberranger@sh.itjust.works 11 points 2 years ago (2 children)

You could try putting firewall rules and block it from ever connecting to the internet.

[–] HappyFrog@lemmy.blahaj.zone 8 points 2 years ago

You're still giving them market share and training yourself in their software. When you need to search up online how to do a gradient, you give views to tutorials for their products.

Use GIMP and skip the bullshit.

Not as intuitive for someone who was taught photoshop at an early age

[–] first_ad4972@sh.itjust.works 11 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I find krita quite easy to use

[–] Midnight1938@reddthat.com 3 points 2 years ago

Okay ill try kitra

[–] polle@feddit.org 8 points 2 years ago (2 children)

I stared with Photoshop cs2, now iam using just krita for years.

[–] pbjamm@beehaw.org 5 points 2 years ago

Krita is amazing

[–] IanM32@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 2 years ago

Krita is A+.

[–] Flax_vert@feddit.uk 2 points 2 years ago

Always found gimp far easier than Photoshop

[–] yuri@pawb.social 1 points 2 years ago

photogimp exists and is fantastic

[–] sillyhatsonly@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

GIMP is fine but who can find me replacements for After Effects and Premiere Pro? I need software for video editing/motion graphics and these are the two apps keeping me shackled to Adobe for now…

[–] p03locke@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 2 years ago

How about Da Vinci Resolve?

[–] zaknenou@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 2 years ago

you two surely have nice chemistry

There is one say in Spanish: "Ladrón que roba a ladrón tiene mil años de perdón"
