Hey all, bit of a novice with all this and searching for answers is proving confusing - I am basically looking for an external SSD to connect to my macbook air to store a lot of FLAC and hi-res music files that I will then copy onto my MicroSDs for my walkman NW-a306, along with some EPUBs and PDFs for my kindle. I have adapters but my ports are USB, the old lightning port, along with an SD card port.

I ideally want 1TB or 2TB, for less than £100. Also open to an external hard drive if it’s not going to hugely impinge on download speed. I am not fussed about stupid quick speeds but also want to download 5 FLAC albums to the drive within a couple of minutes for flexibility as i like to listen to a lot of new music

I have gathered the SanDisk 1TB that is on offer on Amazon at the moment is a big no-no due to wiping problems and have seen Crucial X9 significantly slows down its download speed after it has reached a certain storage (300-400gb?)

Any advice would be great, thanks
