Hello Hoarders, I want to get started into blu-ray ripping but feel a bit lost in terms of software availibity to do so. I have the following requirements:

• All piece of software should be legal, they can be free or paid I don't mind as long as it's legal
• RIP all blu-ray content including latest movies
• Compression format/settings should preserve quality as much as possible
• Compress 4k movies
• I will only rip movies, no TV-Shows

From my current research the consensus is:

• MakeMKV for ripping
• Handbrake for compression

Is that the case and if yes could you guys share your tips and settings ?
