I noticed several older people on Facebook share a meme. On the left side there was a screengrab of a weather forecast from one day in 1998. On the right, screengrab from a weather forecast from the same date but in 2023. On the top is had the text "What climate change!?"

Alot of old people cheeribg in the comments and saying it was cold yesterday. Even though the rest of the world is objectively getting warmer

These people are insanely stupid

"Hurr durr but some scientists deny global warming! Reee"

Checks those scientists finances and job history and finds evidence of the oil industry

While the rest of the world is burning, my mountain based south American city had catastrophic amounts of rain. I fucking hate it.

It's cold outside when it's supposed to be hot. I shouldn't have to wear a jacket in the middle of fucking August.

This is exactly why we changed the term from "global warming" to "climate change."

Not just hundreds of scientists, any thousands of scientists.

Just the IPCC is comprised of thousands of scientists- it's the largest international scientific endeavor in history.

At least in my experience, a lot of people don't deny that the planet is getting warmer, but that it's not man-made. Instead they talk about cycles where the Earth gets closer to the Sun, how it's all natural and how the Romans grew grapes in Britain.

Ignoring ofc the fact that you need 1000+ years to get a natural change of 1°C, not 100 years.
