I have about half a dozen 1TB and 2TB hard drives (WD Reds and Blues) laying around that got replaced over the years by larger hard drives, and I'm not sure what to do with them at this point.

I would secure wipe and block test them before doing anything with them, of course, but assuming they're still perfectly functional, what could I do with these? The first thing to come to mind is building a NAS, but I feel like with not even 10TB spread across so many drives, it wouldn't be worth the power consumption.

Thoughts?
