I'm replacing a pair of 8 tb drives in my Synology DS920+ with 18tb drives, leaving me with an unused pair of 8tb disks.

I was considering putting those in the cheapest double disk enclosure i could find that could raid them together in Raid 0, so I could add 16 tb of missable materials like media server content.

Is this a bad idea, or do you have reccommendations on how to do this?
