I take back everything I said about the rain because lo, the moisture hath intensified. Needed to postpone one site visit to tomorrow. Absolutely horrible commute on the way back (even with it being school holidays). I think next Wednesday is a definite WFH day again. It's such a shit route.
Today's been yuck enough that I just want to delete my brain and reset it for tomorrow. I suppose this is why people drink
Woke up, very ready for breakfast and the kitchen sink isn't draining. Guess one of the housemates clogged it last night. Woooooooooooooooooo coffee for breakfast
Recently frustrated with one of them. They're usually all good. I've tried to complain about one issue and got brushed off. Might need to be more assertive.

Repair rambles
I canโt seem to find a matching yarn for the jumper repair (to be fair the colour, texture and thinness are very specific). I looked to see if there were any embroidery flosses that kind of tone but there were only bundles that didnโt have great matches. So I may either try eBay for a single skein or do a temporary job with doubled thread just to hold the hole together and stop it unraveling larger. This is kind of a favourite jumper.
got no idea what I want for lunch. dont want anything super processed, but dont wanna pay 25 bucks either. Suggestions in the city?
The arcade next to Kmart between Bourke & Little Bourke St has a student friendly soup with things in it bar that's VERY popular. Not costly and very good smelling. Haven't eaten there myself but it sure seems to be a popular option.

On the topic of Tolkien, this morning I was going through some old books that were still in boxes from moving house last year. Found a copy of The Adventures of Tom Bombadill which I've had for decades, I remember my grandmother used to read it to me when I was a kid in the 70's. Well, it turns out that this little hardback is a first edition print from 1962 (UK release) and some are selling online for $700+, one seller had a copy up for $1100!
No plans to sell it, but I should probably take a bit more care with it :)
I swore I would t have any coffee and here I am having a 2nd instant coffee.
