My golden takes a different approach -
Dispose of the evidence as quickly as possible so no one notices I helped myself, bonus points if I snagged it from one of the kid's plates at my face level.
A few weeks ago, I was dog sitting my brother’s muppet. She’s a quick and sneaky muppet.
I was plating a burger, set out the open bun and turned to get something from the fridge (all of 3 feet away.). She managed to sneak in and swipe the bun top from a (tallish,) counter in the 3 seconds my back was turned.
Dog tax… this muppet:
that there is a look of panic as he realizes it was too big for a single bite and now he has to draw attention to himself to finish it and he might get in trouble
That eyeshadow though.
