I've searched far and wide but I can't seem to find this issue documented anywhere.
My issue is the following:
on a fresh restart, I can start Mullvad and use Firefox with no issues. However, if I disconnect and quit Mullvad, then reopen it and reconnect (without restarting my computer), something weird happens. Some sites (like duckduckgo) work just fine; some sites (like gmail) don't load at all and show the http icon in the url bar (slashed lock icon); but the weirdest thing is that most sites (like ookla—but I could name pretty much any site and this would apply) only load the basic HTML without any js or CSS (???). (ETA: Firefox works fine whenever I quit Mullvad.)
Changing servers and/or protocols doesn't fix the issue. Using custom DNS servers doesn't fix the issue. Changing parameters (port, MTU, etc.) doesn't fix the issue. Disabling Firefox extensions doesn't fix the issue. Creating a fresh Firefox profile doesn't fix the issue. Restarting Mullvad and/or Firefox doesn't fix the issue.
I've followed many guides on using Firefox with Mullvad, including trying DoH+https, proxy settings, you name it. Nothing fixes the issue.
Chromium browsers work just fine.
OS: macOS Ventura 13.6.7
Browser: Firefox 127.0.2
VPN: Mullvad 2024.3
