Hi everyone,

I recently upgraded my gaming PC and ended up with an extra PCI-E SSD that I no longer need internally. I'm wondering if it's possible to use this PCI-E SSD as an external hard drive. Here are a few specific questions I have:

  1. Compatibility: Are there any specific enclosures or adapters needed to convert a PCI-E SSD to an external drive?
  2. Performance: How does the performance of a PCI-E SSD as an external drive compare to traditional external SSDs or HDDs?
  3. Setup: What steps are involved in setting up a PCI-E SSD as an external drive? Are there any special considerations I should be aware of?
  4. Reliability: Is using a PCI-E SSD externally a reliable long-term solution for data storage and transfer?

Any insights, recommendations, or experiences would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance for your help.
