Could you imagine if Putin or Xi had a drug addled, sex worker-addicted son who they kept consulting for policy? There'd be a trillion Atlantic and NYT think pieces lining up to attribute that shit to Oriental Despotism or the Asiatic Brainpan or some shit.

This whole thing really is like court intrigues of a feudal court of a declining empire.

many such cases

Death to America

We'll get long articles written from a first person perspective as the reporter imagines themselves walking into the sex and opium den inside Xi's "forbidden city" where only a handful of the most loyal and fanatic few ever are allowed in.. All from an unverifiable anonymous source of course.

[–] GrouchyGrouse@hexbear.net 10 points 1 year ago

The source is the same one that personally witnessed Kim Jong Un executing his uncle with an artillery round. They also saw Putin push a guy out of a window. They also also saw the Trump pee tape.

[–] TemutheeChallahmet@hexbear.net 20 points 1 year ago

They would be writing about such a son like he's Uday or Qusay

[–] Procapra@hexbear.net 18 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (1 children)

I'd respect Putin or Xi even more if they did this.

"My fellow Russians. My son, shining star of our nation, has been dumped by his deceitful Ukrainian girlfriend. Therefore, I am declaring a special military operation..."

I love that it took 90 minutes to unravel 4 years of utter bullshit and now the dems are too totally paralyzed to do anything. Way to go, dipshits. Shoulda put up a fight when the ratfucked Bernie.

Biden had dementia back then; it was mild compared to his condition now, of course.

[–] macabrett@lemmy.ml 21 points 1 year ago

It's so funny how quickly everything changed from them thinking the only leftist critique of Biden is that he's old and now it's the primary liberal critique of Biden.

Still no consideration of the whole aiding an apartheid state in their genocide thing.

Biden making everyone but Kamala, Hunter and Jill leave the room and then just telling the Corn Pop story again because he forgot what he was gonna say

If genocide Joe goes away, so does the phoney baloney jobs of lots of people in his faction. Losing with Genocide Joe means that they're still in control of the party and the funds it raises and they will have time to find a new figurehead. If genocide Joe is replaced then the new guy might bring in their own set of clients and sycophants, pushing out the old guard. Especially someone as Hunter is going to be completely irrelevant once his daddy is no longer the president.

Continuing the elder abuse into electoral disaster is the rational thing to do for a lot of very powerful people.

[–] MayoPete@hexbear.net 5 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Do these people think they're immune from the Fascism? Did they forget the Pelosi attacker or ignore all of the escalating threats to literally jail all of them? You'd think for the sake of survival they would take this election a lot more seriously.

[–] TemutheeChallahmet@hexbear.net 5 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

I think that being mostly super old, they operate almost as half-dead automatons who default to the same procedures and canned lines they relied on daily when they were decades younger, even though their toolkit is completely unsuited for politics in the current moment. It's why Dianne Feinstein mumbled a bunch of shit to the Sunrise Movement protestors about how she knew how to get things done better than those kids, and that they should let her work, only to go on to do nothing to combat climate change, and then die in office.

More scholar officials openly voice and lament the undue and undeserved influence of the heir apparent and his ruinous clique on the Great Khan.

[–] SoyViking@hexbear.net 10 points 1 year ago

In the elder days when the realm still struck terror in lesser lands with blood and iron, reigned king Brandon the Feeble-minded, his cruel mind forever lost in the mists of old age at the twillight of his wicked life. Discontent brewed among the jarls of the realm, stirred by the ill-fated rule of the king and the insidious grip of prince Hunter the Debauched and his sycophantic cohorts over the feeble-minded monarch who they ensnared for their own greed and ambition.

The treacherous jarls foresaw their own doom in the king's impending downfall. Seized by dread for their holdings, they plotted to rise up in rebellion and dethrone the faltering ruler to raise a new lord beholden to their will.

Volcanic hot lava conspiracy take:

Ask yourself this, why did the debate happen so early in June? And most of all, why did Biden accept the debate, when he has every excuse to say that a debate with Trump is not worth the time?

People say the Democrats and the Biden team are just stupid enough to shoot themselves in the foot. But I don’t think so. Everyone knew Biden was going to screw up, and yet they went ahead with it. How could this be?

Hypothesis: this is a Deep State (or whichever faction is in charge) “pre-cleaning” operation. Something big is about to go down, and they need to remove as much obstruction as possible because whatever it is about to happen, is going to be complete madness.

And it has to happen before November. There is a good chance that Biden loses to Trump, and they might lose this opportunity forever since Trump is too unpredictable or not ideologically committed to their grand plan like Biden. Waiting four more years might not bode well for a declining empire, it would have been too late by then.

With increasing reports of Ukraine acquiring large quantity of radiological materials enough to create “dirty bombs”, with an intensification of US biological warfare activity reported in Africa, with the US sending record troops presence into Jordan, with a war imminent with Lebanon and even Iran, with the US ramping up tension in the South China Sea in the Philippines, many pieces are being moved simultaneously, but we simply don’t know what it is all about.

All dissenters thus have to be purged months ahead to ensure that the operation will be met with minimal obstruction. I believe this goes beyond the electoral campaign, it is instead a sinister plan for one big final harvest for the empire while Biden is still in the office.

They didn't know. Biden was a lot more lucid in prior appearances, like the state of the union speech. They genuinely didn't know it would go like this.

Biden and his team wanted the debate, the idea was to remind the people how unhinged Trump was early enough.

[–] HexBroke@hexbear.net 26 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Seems like too much effort, just get Biden to walk down some stairs in the rain

[–] InevitableSwing@hexbear.net 16 points 1 year ago

All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain... Time to die.

[–] Dolores@hexbear.net 22 points 1 year ago (1 children)

if i were the deep state 'cleaning house' why would i hitch my wagon to the walking corpse instead of hand-picking a better successor? if the natsec ghouls are in the drivers seat, they'd be not worried about trump (idk why you assume he'd be incompatible) or if they were, they'd be ditching biden.

overall the debate was just farce and hubris, no need to add behind the scenes designs to what can be elegantly explained from incompetence & arrogance

[–] shipwreck@hexbear.net 5 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Find me a candidate who’s willing to start a war with Russia, Iran and China all at the same time while sinking the European economy.

Even Bush and Obama would think twice on committing to any of the above. The post-2009 financial crash means that the empire is more desperate than ever. Biden is the perfect candidate with a long history of pushing for US military aggression, a true ideologue for American supremacy.

[–] Dolores@hexbear.net 6 points 1 year ago

any democrat that hasn't stepped out of the pro-genocide line on gaza is suitable. the strategic problem with Biden is that he can die right in the middle of your plans, a younger person can still be pliable without that risk

You need to put a "career" in front of occupations so it doesn't sound ominous (career intelligence officers, etc.)

[–] barrbaric@hexbear.net 2 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

In fairness, the term "deep state" used to be a term referring to unelected bureaucrats in the various government agencies that persisted between admins and carried out the day-to-day operations of empire. Then Trump adopted it and it became a calling card for MAGA cranks.

FWIW I don't agree with the other poster, imo this is just more dem incompetence like we saw in 2016 and 2020, and the deep state is disorganized and their "goals" are more or less the same as those of every establishment politician (including Trump).

Patriots are in control alex-aware

[–] TrashGoblin@hexbear.net 5 points 1 year ago

Given that the DNC proposed the early debate, and scheduled it for a time in the evening when Biden would be sundowning, they have to have expected and wanted the result. Presumably so their replacement for him would have enough time to solidify things before the convention so that it can be properly stage-managed. But then why haven't they replaced him yet?

I don't think it's the MIIC; I still think it has to be DNC-internal politics.

[–] trumpetnoises@hexbear.net 19 points 1 year ago (3 children)

I really think the CIA controls Hunter Biden who in turn controls his father. Hunter is literally the reason we are fighting a war in Ukraine JFC. Patriot on amazon prime is a fucking documentary about the Biden family

[–] SoyViking@hexbear.net 38 points 1 year ago

Hunter is not the reason the US is fighting a proxy war in Ukraine, imperialism is. Hunter is one of the tools used to control Ukraine.

[–] BynarsAreOk@hexbear.net 34 points 1 year ago

Biden's family relation to Ukraine is mostly irrelevant in the grand scheme. Even someone like Nuland who was literaly directly involved in the maidan coup is far more of a direct cause for the war than Hunter.

For staters, Operation Aerodynamic

The purpose of Project AERODYNAMIC is to provide for the exploitation and expansion of the Anti-Soviet Ukrainian resistance movement for cold war and hot war purposes. Such groups as the Ukrainian Supreme Council of Liberation (UHVR), its military adjunct, the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA), the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN all in the Ukraine, the Foreign Representation of the Supreme Council of Liberation (ZPUHVR) in Western Europe and the United States, and other Ukrainian organizations such as the Foreign Sections of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (ZchOUN), etc., will be utilized.[5]

OUN is literaly the Ukrainian WW2 nazis still alive today.

[–] Frank@hexbear.net 22 points 1 year ago

Makes as much sense as anything. Libs were astonishingly incurious about Hunter's no-duties jobs with Ukrainian state companies.
