Yeah, apparently the Republicans who run this state decided they were done with extending any extra courtesy to Democrats, because when the DNC scheduled the convention to take place after the deadline for submitting a nominee to the Ohio Secretary of State and asked for an extension (like they've gotten previously), the SoS told them to piss up a rope.
I do think it's very very funny that this bunch of rules-lawyering assholes do it late regularly and are all pissy about it biting them in the ass because someone else is being a stickler.
