As per my last, slightly unpopular post, I am trying to get large amounts of usb sticks into a raid array for a nas. The stick size is 128gb. I am unsure what raid to choose, they are obviously fundamentally different from hard drives, but still lag behind in terms of speed compared to sata or pcie ssds. I will most likely end up using between 16-21 drives for now. What do you guys think would be best to optimize performance?? I am aiming for 75-85% usable storage. I'm guessing usb faliure rates are higher than typical ssds, but still lower than spinning discs. I'm open to suggestions :)

edit: I'll use 3 or 4 pcie usb cards (that I can also get cheap) to have a total of 4/5 usb 3.0 controllers and avoid some of the bottlenecks
