I’ve read some other posts but am still kind of confused on the 3pin connector on HDD’s and PSUs…. Some clarification or help to better understand or just an answer would be great.

I’m building an unRAID server for Plex and am using the Seasonic FOCUS GX-750 full modular PSU. My intent is to purchase 1 or 2 18TB Ultrastar DC HC550 WUH721818ALE6L4 SATA 7.2K 3.5HDD’s from serverpartdeals to complete the build (like this one: https://serverpartdeals.com/products/western-digital-ultrastar-dc-hc550-wuh721818ale6l4-0f38459-18tb-7-2k-rpm-sata-6gb-s-512e-512mb-3-5-se-manufacturer-recertified-hdd)

Do I need to worry about the 3pin power issues at all or is that just for old PSU’s?

Thanks
