Hello peeps, this might be a somewhat of a basic? question for hard drive enthusiast but, in the case where you need to travel a lot with a massive data storage, for example in my case, a lot of the data I have archived, is usually in need to be displayed in a bunch of locations around the country on a regular basis.

Although my hard drive is packed well to prevent vibration damage during travel, the fact that I need to plug and unplug the system a lot, makes me feel like I am going to break it faster that it should be.

So Instead, I am thinking of setting up a second pc and have people that want to access my data access that pc remotely instead. However, the main system that does the recording still needs to access that storage drive on a daily basis. Which means, although the traveling issue is gone, there's still a lot of plugging and unplugging every day anyway.

Is there a way to just share the storage between the two pc without resorting to cloud? or at the very least minimize the potential damage a drive can take physically to extend its life?
