I purchased an 18 tb external easy store from Best Buy today.

When taking it out of the package it seemed lighter than any of my other external hdd. I plugged the drive into my windows 10 pc.

In admin disk manager I try to initialize the disk and it says “the device is not ready”

I also tried a different power plug and data cable, no change in status

Is there something else i should try or is this somehow fraudulently without a disk?
