Two tapes where left in the sun, in a room with up to 38°C, there is a good chance, that they are toast.

Now, I heard, that damaged tapes could damage a lto-drive, but I can't find anything about that in the interenet about this issue.

Did you people hear about that, do you have any sources for that?

Is it safe to put the tapes into the drive?
