This is the natural conclusion of supporting hierarchies.
He's basically lived his life, all day every day for years, constantly in that state George Costanza was in when he told a great joke in the conference room and was able to skimp out on work and leave early by leaving on a high note. It's so funny watching him run for president fully entitled to that state of mind.

I hate that I kind of love these moments. Worked for enough petite-bourgieous restraunt owners that if a guy walked in, convinced the owner to make everyone meals, and then dipped out without paying the bill, I'd be laughing for a week.
