Maybe a silly question but I got these rubber stoppers for my external drives to keep on them while boxed up and stored and to have while they are on my desk to prevent them from sliding off. Are they fine to go there or does the tension risk damage to the drive?

Ive had a drive dropped in the past that stopped working so now I’m ultra careful about preventing that
