I have a spare z690 mobo with cpu and memory and I saw this Supermicro 2U 12 Bay Caddy case on ebay. It states a standard ATX would fit in there. Is there any reasons you can think of that a z690 wouldnt fit in there and/or be compatible with the backplane?

Only thing I can think of that would be an issue is the back IO panel. Looks like there will be a large gap there but I'm sure I can cut down to size the IO panel for this z690 to fit.

Looking to change out my existing 2.5 bay NAS server solution with a server with more bays and using 3.5 drives as they are easier to find drivers for.
