so I just read this and I'm absolutely disgusted. honestly who do these pricks think they are?? how do we show them this is not to be tolerated in a welcoming safe public space, or anywhere for that matter! fucking bigots spreading fear and hate and misogynistic bullshit. just fuck these guys we need to get an exclusion order against them from being within 100m of a library. we need to stand up to these bullying cunts how? writing to Rachel Boyack hardly vents my spleen enough thanks for listening 🀬🀬🀬🀬

Leader Brian Tamaki called on Upper Hutt Mayor Wayne Guppy to cancel the event, warning β€œif the Mayor and his councillors do not shut this event down, I have instructed our Destiny Church members and ManUp men to shut it down.”

Oh yep, so where's the government and their getting tough on crime crowd when these fascist thugs are threatening people like this

Donors don't face justice.

Weird how they don’t mention an investigation into the threats.

This also makes me very sad. What can we do? Perhaps join protests? Email politicians?

[–] Dave@lemmy.nz 3 points 1 year ago

That's a good question. No harm in emailing politicians asking how they can solve it. If we don't have the laws to stop it now, politicians will be needed, and it's important that they get a feel for the general publics view.
