Our town banned fires on the beach during COVID, and has kept the ban in place since. One of the best fiestas in spain, you go to the beach, make a fire (only day all year it was allowed), cook dinner and drink until midnight then everyone jumps over the waves 12 times.

Now...you have to drive to the next town over to celebrate, which isn't great because drunk driving is pretty abundant...so we just don't do it anymore.

Something we have in common then - as an Estonian, this is the single most celebrated holiday of the year IMO. Everyone gets drunk, wild, and has fun around a massive bonfire
