My wife and I love a great deal of movies and tv shows and over the years I’ve accumulated a lot of movies and tv shows that we use the app Infuse on the Apple TV. It can stream .mov, .mp4, .mkv, etc. which is great and the UI is simple enough that even my parents can figure it out.

We moved recently and got a system in place that I can no longer plug my external drive into a USB 3.0 onto the router. So I know I need to add a network drive. But I really am clueless on how to do so and do so for a reasonable cost… I’ve almost filled 8 tb’s worth of media so I know I want to expand.

But I really don’t know what to do at all. I don’t know what kind of enclosure to get, hard drives to get, or anything like that. I’d love to keep this all under $400 too since we just moved and moneys a bit tight.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
