So I have been using my WD My Passport 2TB since 2012, running constantly just for storing all my movies and TV shows. It's at the point where it is completely full and there is nothing I want to delete from it. So I am thinking of getting a cheap 4TB drive. The Toshiba Canvio Advance 4TB is on sale for $130 CAD. The WD My Passport 4TB is on sale for $150 CAD. I've always gone with Western Digital, but is there really a difference here aside from warranty? Is the extra $20 for the WD worth it? Will one perform better than the other?
