Ahh, “Weev” is a four-letter version of “Weave” the same way “Chex” is a shortened “Checkerboard”, perhaps referring to the Ralston Purina checkerboard logo.
It looks like Chex, so I suppose that makes sense. Aren't you all focusing on the wrong things though?

I think you're right. Cookie = Sweetdisk I can see, but Crisp and Chomp are pretty different.
I agree. Sweetdisk is established to mean to mean cookie.. Malt O Meal “Cookie Bites” cereal does exist, but it’s a not so well known rip off of Cookie Crisp.
I thought it was Cinnamon Toast Crunch, but that makes a lot more sense.
I think Sweetdisc Chomp is Honey Nut Cheerios.

Hm, but none of the words in the name correspond, plus it's not so much known as a kid's cereal. And Cheerio is established to be Jauntio here.

I have been able to identify symbols in the rotated position for some solar cycles now.

I first understood the 'earlier consciousness' to mean he was born earlier and hence felt he had right to the cereal of choice
I have a daily calendar of these cartoons, and it really is the high point of waking up to turn to a new day. Amazingly, my wife also enjoys it (we are very compatible in most things but not humour).
