I ordered a refurbished 12TB Seagate Enterprise HDD and it was delivered today while I wasn't home. It was over +100°F (+38°C) degrees today and the sun was beaming directly on the mailbox for 4 hours before I got to it. I suspected the box could have easily been 130°F (55°C) or possibly much hotter having been in the direct sunlight for so long. I immediately put the entire box in the refrigerator. After about 5 minutes in the fridge, I decided to measure the temp using a digital BBQ thermometer. It measured at 104°F (40°C) but this was likely not accurate because I was using a thermometer that is meant to be shoved inside of meat and the box had already been in the fridge for 5 mins.

How much damage could have been caused from it sitting in the direct +100°F (+38°C) degree sunlight for just over 4 hours? Thanks!
