I mean Key West is already pretty gay.
I've been to the Villages a couple of times. I loathe it mostly because I've seen spent more time around LTC elderly to know that the version of aging The Villages represents is only one facet of aging that is often only available to younger (60-75ish) white people with money. I've seen plenty of elderly in my area of Florida who can't retire and instead serve these people in the service industry. I wish the state belonged to them and everyone else that worked hard to build it instead of a bunch of snowbirds who are going to die 20 years after they move here. Those folks have no sense of long term community building with future generations.
I fucking hate snowbirds. Every year when spring comes earlier and earlier they just go "gee what lovely weather." Or they gloat about how we luckily had no snow during the winter. Meanwhile I look at the snowpack in the mountains and shudder. Shit. Heads.
We should just send them all to Myrtle Beach. Let them ruin South Carolina for once (quite a challenge all things considered).
