badposting is a comm where you post badly

This is not a !the_dunk_tank@hexbear.net alternative. This is not a !memes@hexbear.net alternative. This is a place for you to post your bad posts.

Ever had a really shitty bit idea? Joke you want to take way past the point of where it was funny? Want to feel like a stand-up comedy guy who's been bombing a set for the past 30 minutes straight and at this point is just saying shit to see if people react to it? Really bad pun? A homemade cringe concoction? A cognitohazard that you have birthed into this world and have an urge to spread like chain mail?

Rules:

  1. Do not post good posts.
    • Unauthorized goodposting is to be punished in the manner of commenting the phrase "GOOD post" followed by an emoji that has not yet been used in the thread
    • Use an emoticon/kaomoji/rule-three-abiding ASCII art if the rations run out
  2. This is not a comm where you direct people to other people's bad posts. This is a comm where you post badly.
  3. This rule intentionally left blank.
  4. If you're struck for rule 3, skill issue, not allowed to complain about it.

Code of Conduct applies just as much here as it does everywhere else. Technically, CoC violations are bad posts. On the other hand: L + ratio + get ~~better~~ worse material bozo

If I saw this image a few years ago, I'd stare at it for so long, wondering what the hell the artist is trying to say, maybe coming to the conclusion that it's a brilliant piece of absurdist art since it got me to think about it so much. Now I know it's just something AI randomly crapped out, so I barely think about it, which is a good argument against AI art being art.

tbf im still trying to figure out what the prompt was here

[–] Des@hexbear.net 12 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

i think it's in the speech balloon. just horribly mangled

[–] OgdenTO@hexbear.net 10 points 1 year ago

Based on what's in this speech balloon and others in the "same series", the prompts are something like:

The far side style, Everyone's sleeping, there are 4 of them, Family sleeps nicely, ethnically ambiguous, war

make something that looks like it would be posted on 4chan, but in the style of a 1990s comic and make the words 80% intelligible

Born too late to live in the USSR, too early for global communism, born just in time to watch fascists spewing out AI hogshit on Facebook as if their life depends on it

He bought the Tony Montana stock, good for resting it on your inner thigh as you spray and pray

[–] Dirt_Owl@hexbear.net 17 points 1 year ago (2 children)

The best part is you can tell one of the prompts was for the child to be ethnically ambiguous

Why is there a lion tho lmao

[–] SorosFootSoldier@hexbear.net 8 points 1 year ago

I know a lot of christian ai art does it because of the lion's den so they throw that shit into the prompt. Why in a joke about a troop getting cucked is beyond me.

[–] Owl@hexbear.net 7 points 1 year ago

Dall-e has a random chance to insert a random racial descriptor into the prompt if humans are involved, so it could be that.

[–] GrouchyGrouse@hexbear.net 16 points 1 year ago
