Ohioan here, can confirm.

No, an Ohio goodbye tales about an hour and a half. It starts with saying "WELP" and slapping your thighs, and ends with the host following you outside to say goodbye a few more times and waving as you drive off.

Personally, I've started calling it an 'Irish Shot Drop' to be a bit more considerate.

At the end of the day it's whatever is understood by the bartender. There's also probably a pretty large proportion of people ordering these who have never even heard of The Troubles.
